只道古人夸景秀，今下漓江知畫真
奇山群峰豎左右，彎樹綠洲分中流
千載游人千載嘆，千載白雲碧水浮

Going Down the Lijiang River

I've thought that the ancients had only been exaggerating the scenic beauty,
But now that I've gone down the Li Jiang I know the paintings to be real.
Fantastic mountains and peaks in groups stand erect to both left and right;
Green islets with curled trees divide the flow of water.
Thousands of years of tourists have marveled for thousands of years;
And for thousands of years the white clouds have floated on the emerald waters.
